Let’s begin with a food diary. A detailed list of everything you consume for 10 days.
It is important to know the facts – where you are now, what is working and not working with your current eating habits before a creating a workable plan of action to address the challenges.
It is important to know:
- What, where and when you eat
- Where does your food come from
- Who prepares your food & how
- What you drink and how much throughout the day
- What kind of snacks you go for and at what time
- How does your food make you feel while you are eating it
- And an hour after eating – how do you feel?
- Are you an emotional eater and/or social eater?
- Do you have medical concerns related to your current food plan?
- Do you have any allergies or are you taking any medications?
- How is your physical & mental energy after eating?
